Reading Letter #3- Taylor Quarter 2- Breaking Dawn

Title: Breaking Dawn

Pages: 1-756

Author: Meyer, Stephenie

I am now finishing the ast part of the book Breaking Dawn. This part of the stoy is written in Bella Swans perspective. When I am reading the Twilight series I have found that Bella’s point of view is my favorite to read. I dont find that I like Jacobs as much as I like reading from Bellas perspective. In the last part of the book Bella has become a vampire and has a half human half vampire baby. In the beginning of this section Bella is still trying to get  a handle on things as a vampire. What she finds out is that she has a natural ability to contain herself from drinking blood of humans. Not only is she about ot do this but they believe that she may be what is known as a sheild.

The trouble begins when Alice has a vision. She sees that the entire Volturi is coming to get the Cullen family. This upsets her greatly and leaves to try to make her visions clearer. She does not return and has left the Cullens confused. Bella feels that she will do what ever she cant o protect her child as well as Edward is there is a battle between the vampires, however they hope that they can explain themselves before a fight breaks out. This is one of my favorite book of the series it has a great story line and keep you wanting to read more.

Reading Letter #2- Taylor Quarter 2- Breaking Dawn

Title: Breaking Dawn

Author: Meyer, Stephenie

Pages: 1- 756

I have begun to read the second part of the book Breaking Dawn. The part of the book that I am currently reading is in Jacob’s perspective, when you are reading from his perspective it is very different than reading from Bella’s. Jacob is a werewolf  so you read much more about his wolf pack and you see his life instead of Bella’s unless he is with Bella in the book. In the book it is strange that Jacob is such great friends with the vampires but he really only stays for one reason and that is Bella. Jacob also loves Bella just the same as Edward does for her. Jacob would do anything to keep Bella from becoming a vampire.  The vampires do put themselves at risk, when they are near Jacob their powers become less powerful.

I think that Jacob’s portion of the story is interesting in that he is trying to make Bella believe that her choice to become a vampire is wrong. However Bella has made her decision and she is unwilling to change her mind now that she was going to have a child. She is set on Edward. Jacob does endure much pain from Bella, she needs him often but does not feel the same way that he feels for her so he is continually hurt by Bella and her choices to love Edward. I think that this book will continue to get better and become more interesting as the time goes on, I am hoping that Jacob can resolve some of his problems with Bella in the future.

Reading Letter #1- Taylor Quarter 2- Breaking Dawn

Title: Breaking Dawn

I am reading Breaking Dawn. This book is the last in the series of Twilight. I have read much of the book and have very little left to read. The book is almost split into sections. These sections are written from different characters points of view, such as Jacob and Bella’s point of views. I like the way that the book was created that way, it gives you a chance to see every perspective of the book. I think that this book is very interesting and keeps you on your toes. The writer has great description and tells a great story.

I think that the series will continue to grow in popularity, it is a great read and is very easy to get lost in the books. The first part of breaking dawn begins with the a big plot. Bella has found that she is pregnant by Edward the vampire. This rises some questions and challenges for both Bella and Edward and leaves them with little choices. I think that the plot is well written and really starts the book off well. would recommend this series to anyone. It has a great story line and the characters are discribed well. I have really enjoyed reading the first section of Breaking Dawn.

Tempted

By P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast

Pg. 35-45

Dear Miss Gibson,

This book is the 6th book in a series of books I have been reading this past year. I have not had much time to read my book lately, but I am planning on reading a lot of it over Thanksgiving Break. So far in this book, Zoey cannot choose between the 4 guys in her life. There’s Kalona, who draws her in, but is an evil fallen angel. She knows she belongs with him, but she can’t be with him. Next there’s Erik, who is an attractive Vampyre who loves Zoey, but can be very controlling at times. Then there’s Heath, who is a human. He has been her boyfriend since they were little kids. He knows her better than anyone else, and truly loves her, but it is dangerous for them to be together. Lastly there’s Stark, who is a different kind of vampyre. He has pledged to become a warrior for Zoey, meaning he will do anything to keep her alive.

I feel bad for Zoey. She has to choose between 4 guys that all love her. I seriously doubt she will choose Kalona because he is evil, but his powers could draw her in. I doubt she will choose Erik too, because she does not like controlling people. I bet she will choose either Heath or Stark because they both truly love her, and are always kind to her. I like Heath because he reminds Zoey of the times before she was turned into a vampyre. Right now this book is moving kind of slow, but I’m sure it will get really good like all the other books in the series. They all start out a little slow, then become impossible to put down. I predict that Kalona will come back and begin to cause more trouble. That could be very bad, because Kalona can be dangerous. I would recommend this book to anyone. I am excited to read on!

Amazing Grace

This book is about a girl named Grace who is a tennis star. She plays professionally and is tired of all the pressure. She is so tired of it that she is going to quit. She calls her mom and that is it. She is driven back to the hotel were her hair is cut and dyed and she pierces her nose. Then she is sent to live with her aunt in Alaska. In a small town named Medicine Hat. She really likes living with her aunt, Ava. Grace is given a new name, Emily O’Brien. She is living with her aunt because to the rest of the world Grace is in hiding and not a tennis star. In Alaska she meets a girl named Fisher and they are friends and a boy named Teague who she really likes.

I really like this book. I just picked it off the shelf because I liked the cover. I have some questions about what might happen. Will Grace/Emily get together with Teague? Will she and Fisher stay friends? Ava and Grace seem like really good friends. Will they stay friends? Ava has a dog named Bear and Grace is not really a dog person. Will she become one? Will Grace adjust to the weather and early nights of Alaska? I love the fact that Ava lives in a log cabin and that their room is a loft. I also like the layout of this book. There are parts to it and the parts are divided. They are divided into little parts title like, ‘one-minute later,” “ruby,” “morning.” I can’t wait to finish. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend.

Ben- 2nd Quarter Reading Letter 3

I just recently finished reading the book “The Hobbit.” It was a about a Hobbit name Bilbo Baggins, and he was a very adventurous wealthy little hobbit. Then one day a very wise man that Bilbo knew had asked him to join on a dangerous but very adventurous. His name was Gandalf. They were going to travel across middle earth east to west, and this was very dangerous, but they get back safely and learn much about middle earths history.

This book wasn’t the best I’ve read, but it was okay. It was pretty boring at times but I read it because it will help me understand the next three books which is “The Lord of The Rings.” This book was more of an introduction to the next books and it teaches you about the main characters in the next books and their histories. I’ve seen the movies and it made me understand the books a lot more because you know more about what happened before where the next three books picked up. I didn’t like it to much because the book was really slow and there were not many intense parts, but it was still very interesting. In the end I thought the book was worth reading because now the pace will begin to pick up in the next books and I can get a lot more into them. I recommend it to anyone who is going to read the books and just stick with it and finish it so you can enjoy the next three books more.
