Alias: Faina
Rudy Gaborno
Chap. 9-The end
The APO team figures out that Faina at age seventeen is an accomplished and well known hacker. When Faina was still a hostage, the boss, Victor Pushov forced her to build a bomb. Little did Faina know the bomb was going to be attached to her father.

What will Faina and the APO team do to stop this catastrophe that is on their hands. Will Sydney be able to disarm the bomb in time. Will Faina go rogue and murder the men responsible for her family’s imprisonment. How could the ultimate tough guy in Michael Vaughn be tricked and deceived by a seventeen year old girl. Will it come down to a commercial airliner exploding or one dead seventeen year old girl. I personally hope that no one dies.

One cold, dark, and musty morning, a young boy was to report to Cox South Hospital at 0530. He was five minutes early to the check-in desk. He received a buzzer that would go off when he was to go to his private room. The buzzer goes off 45 minutes later. The boy is unsure what the delay was. He was then taken to his pre-surgery room. The attendant for his room made him change into a hospital gown. After he was changed the nurse attempted to find his veins, but his veins were nowhere to be found. The nurse looked on his right arm now. The only visible vein was on his hand. The IV was done, no big deal right. He then was left in that room an hour after he had received his IV. The nurse then comes in and tells him and his family he was bumped from the 0800 surgery to the 1030 surgery. After waiting and waiting the boy was taken back to holding so he could be prepped for surgery. Since he was under 15 he was stuck in a kiddie isolation room from all of the other adult patients. He was in the isolation room with his mom for fifteen minutes, when the anesthesiologist greeted him and talked over what he was going to do. He was to perform a block on this boy’s leg. Last time it took two times to completely numb his lower body. This time it took this doctor at least eight times if not more to numb not even all of his leg. When he was taken back into the surgery room, he told the doctors in the room that the block was not entirely successful. The boy woke up in the holding room at 1230 hours and was taken to a recovery room, where he and his parents would meet up. Last time the boy was in the recovery room he was sick, throwing up, and he even peed on himself. This year it was much different, the boy was able to keep down food and drink and peed in the toilet successfully. The boy then headed home where he would sleep the rest of the day away.

The Hindenburg Mureders
By: Max Allan Collins

Leslie Chartreuse an accomplished author from the U.S.A. is traveling on the famous airship called the Hindenburg. He hooks up with and attractive young blonde named Hilda. He is told by the captain that his roommate is a German Spy sent to find anyone disloyal to the Nazi cause. After the first night Mr. Chartreuse realizes his roommate has been thrown overboard.

This book is awesome. I just want to keep reading it. This is a mystery/thriller novel. I really hope Mr Chartreuse figures out what exactly happened to his roommate Eric Kanecker. There is also a possibility of a bomb onboard the Hindenburg. Mr. Chartreuse is pondering how a bomb would be possible to be onboard with all of the thorough security checks. I hope Mr. Chartreuse figures out everything and stops it in time.

A Midsummer’s Night Dream
By: William Shakespeare

The fools are introduced and perform at the triple wedding. The fairies end up fixing what went wrong with Lysander. Demetrius, Helena and Hermia. The fools play is probably the comic relief in this tragedy/love story.

I really liked the ending. It was a happily ever after one. I enjoyed that the book wasn’t only intriguing but exciting. Even though it was hard to understand at times. Shakespeare did an excellent job writing a book that still included poetry. My favorite character out of all of the characters is definitely Puck, Oberon’s right hand man and prankster. Even though Puck messed up the love for some of the main characters. He ended up fixing it. Puck was just humorous and awesome. He would be a nice friend to have on your side.

A Midsummer’s Night Dream
By: William Shakespeare

A Midnight’s Summer Dream was about a mess of love. Lysander and Hermia loved each other, Demetrius loves Hermia for her money and father’s power and Helena loves Demetrius. Theseus the Duke of Athens is in love with Hippolyta queen of the Amazon’s. Theseus is good friends with Egeus who is Hermia’s father. Egeus wants Hermia to marry Demetrius.

So far this book is really good. The love knots are always intriguing. I think Egeus needs to let Hermia marry her true love Lysander and not Demetrius. I wish Demetrius would realize that Helena truly loves and appreciates him. I think these couples should do the right thing. Everything gets made worse when the Fairies get involved. The fairies had good intentions but the end up hurting the good people. I hope the fairies reconcile what they did wrong. I also would like it if the fairies made the three couples and Egeus happy.

Chapter’s 1-7

The Sorokin Family was staying in a house in Prague. All of the sudden armed men come in and take the Sorokin’s hostages. APO was alerted of this kidnapping, because Anton Sorokin is a diplomat. Sydney and Vaughn are tasked to recover the Sorokins’. Sydney find Faina, the daughter, but the father Anton had already transported to a different location and the mother was murdered.

I can not wait until I finish this book. I really enjoy all of the Alias series books, because I loved the television show. These books add details and fill in gaps from the television show. I also think I love these books because it involves espionage. When I was younger I wanted to become a spy. I wanted to serve our country. My Aunt used to work with the C.I.A. as an analyst and computer technician. Even though she never worked in the field, I still see her as a hero for our country. The spies that have awesome fighting skills. I always wanted these skills. I am so pumped to finish my book.

Author: Robin Wasserman

I read the book Hacking Harvard by Robin Wasserman. It is about three friends that embark on a journey to create the greatest hack ever. Get a deadbeat slacker into Harvard. They are not performing a prank, they are performing a hack, which takes wits and a lot of brainpower. The hack goes well for a couple of months, but then some variables come up. They overcome them, though, and finish what they started.

I thought this was a outstanding book. The writing style is great within Wasserman. I liked how they took a tough bad boy and got him into Harvard, and they become friends while doing it. Wasserman is a great author. Her words flow together and you can always understand what is going on. I could foreshadow it pretty easily, though I did not foreshadow the variables. That threw me off guard, but it made for a better ending. The ending also surprised me as well. It was not what I expected. Overall I think this was a great book full of action, comedy, and romance, but mostly action and comedy. I would rate this book a nine out of ten.

The Story of Jonas

by Maurine F. Dahlberg

This weekend I have start reading this book called ” The Story of Jonas “. The book is by Maurine F. Dahlberg, and Mark Twain Award Nominee. Jonas has lived all of his thirteen years on Split Oak Farm, and even though his friend Tate whispers to him about freedom , Jonas knows he’ll never try to escape. He’s heard that runaways slaves are made to wear iron headpieces, branded, even torn apart by dogs. Jonas off his hurtful shoes and wiggled his toes up and down. his feet ached from being squeezed so tight, and they had been prick where the shoes nails stuck through the stiff leather. Esther was the Hoopers’ cook. Jonas helped her n the kitchen, and he helped Leola, the house girl , clean the big house and wait on the hoopers. Leola was about his age, thirteen or so, and she and her older brother, Tate, who worked in the hemp field, were Jonas’s friend.

I like this book because the book write about boy as same age as me in 19 century and they all living in a farm or a wagon. It’s really interest about ancient time in America.Jonas dream however  will have to wait. In 1895, Master William’s good-for-nothing son percy, is heading for the gold fields in the Kansas Territory to seek his fortune, and Jonas os being sent along as his cook and caretaker. Jona’s can’t imagine how he’ll survive an entire year away, especially with brutal Master Percy
