Ben Reading Letter #1 4th Quarter

I read the book Snakehead, and the author is Anthony Horowitz. This is the 7th book in the series. I just finished the book and it starts of with Alex falling from space from his mission. He is picked up by a United States aircraft carrier and is take to the shore of Australia, and there he will stay at a base camp for a couple of days while his visa is figured out. He is then trapped when he goes to the beach and is caught in the middle of an Australian training exercise. He then runs and steps on a mine where he is told not to move or it will explode. He makes it past the mine and figures out it was a set-up and that he will be recruited to spy on a gang called the “Snakehead.” He is sent to Bangkok with his godfather, Ash. They work together and then in the middle of the mission Alex meets up with MI6 and is told that Snakehead stole a prototype bomb called “Royal Blue.” Then at the end he seperated with Ash and Alex reports back to MI6 where they will invade Snakehead and disarm the bomb. Will the bomb is being disarmed Alex finds that Ash is working for Snakehead and Ash was the one who killed Alex’s parents.

In the end this book was really good, and it always had a good pace and was never boring. I also like the intensity and thrill in the book, because the author does such a good job on descriptions and details. He knows how to make great mental images of whats happening and the plot makes the book even better. I like this book because the author is so good at these kind of set ups and can really work with the plot he as, but overall I thought this book was really good and I can’t wait to read the next one.
