This story is about a 13 year-old kid, named Stevie, and his friend, Susan Carol.  Together they are the most popular kid sports reporters in America.  The story starts out at Stevie’s house.  Stevie is in the living room waiting for the people from the TV station he works for (USTV).  They wanted to meet with him about going to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl.  When they get their Steevie offers them a drink.  Both of them accept.  They start to talk,  Stevie gets fired.  He is devistated. The phone rings and Susan Carol is crying.  She keeps saying she will quit.  Steevie convinced her not to though.  He told her that she should do it for at least the rest of this next week.  She decides to do that.

Stevie calls his writing mentor, Bobby Kelleher, to tell him about USTV.  Kelleher was against the idea of TV in the first place anyway.  He wasn’t suprised.  He told Stevie that if he still wanted to go he could get him a room and media pass from The Washington Herald, the newspaper he worked for.  Stevie talked it over with his parents and they said it would be ok with them.  Stevie was going to Indianapolis anyway.

Stevie went to the airport the other night and he flew to Indianapolis.  When he arrived in the snowy capital of Indiana he went outside to get a cab.  He heard a familiar voice yelling at him.  It was Sean Mcmanus, president of CBS Telivision.  He offered Stevie a ride, and he accepted.  On the way to their hotel Mcmanus asked Stevie if he wanted to work for him for the remainder of the week.  Stevie said that he would have to think it over and talk to his dad.  When Stevie got to the hotel he was greeted by Kelleher and his wife Tamara Mearns.  Stevie had to go to the bathroom, Kelleher told him that he would order him a burger in his room.  Stevie walked into his room to a surprise.  Susan Carol was there and he was so happy to see her.  They both talked for a while.  Eventually Stevie walked her down to the street and got her a cab.  Stevie took a shower and went to bed.

This book has been good so far and I hope to finish it before school gets out. I recommend it to anyone who needs to read a book to write a reading letter.
