Dillon Low Reading letter #2 fourth quarter

I read the story Pyramis and Thisbe part of Edith hamilton’s mythology book.

this story was about 2 lovers that where seperated by a wall. one night they planned to escape and meet at a rasberry tree during the night so they could run off and get married. Thisbe escaped and went to the tree and waited for Pyramis. Pyramis was late and thisbe was getting worried when she saw a beast in the distance its mouth coverd in blood. she went to run away and the beast ripped a part of her dress off. when Pyramis arrived at the tree and saw the blood stained fabric he took is dagger and plunged it into his heart. when Thisbe went back to the tree she saw that Pyramis had killed himself and becuase of love she pulled the sword from Pyramis’s chest andĀ impaled herself with it. thus leaving blood on the rasberries thus explaining why rasberries are red. i enjoyed this story. it is the classic romeo and juliet story.
