The main idea of the book  was how much and how hard the slaves pushed for freedom and it is a non- Fiction. My favorite part of the book was on how some of the people that owned slaves were nice to them. One of the people was John Brow, William Lloyd and Abraham Lincoln.

 John Brown was an extremist towards the freedom of African Americans.  He actually started a little war he gave all of his slave’s guns and they marched the streets of Virginia. He was captured in front of the Virginia arsenal and put to death. William Lloyd organized meetings agents’ slavery. Abraham Lincoln made the Emancipation Proclamation, which eventually ended slavery. I would highly recomend this book!
