the wedding cake in the middle of the road. A man had just started to scrape it off the road so no car would get it on the wheel. when the sky had turned gray with clouds and loud with thunder. when the first couple of rain drops fell on the old man’s hat that had been worn out from the sun from the years before. He went back to the street where he had spent most of his time that day. He had gotten 20 dollars that day so went and tried to go into a business to get some real food. He saw a stake that had been just grilled. It was blacked with grill marks and he went to the counter to buy it as the cashier told him the price was 10 dollars. He sid fine and got the burnt steak that was overpriced. He took a seat at the one person table that had just been cleaned. He had just sat down when he saw a dog just sitting in the rain it looked like it had no owner. The man walked out and gave the dog a 3 third  of the stake he got from the restaurant behind them he called the dog Jake. The man and the dog found a place to stay for a couple days. The rent was 5 dollars a week the man found a job. He got paid minimum wage witch was down to $7.28.
