Dear Ms. Gibson,
Modoc
Ralf Helfer
(I read the whole book)
Bram and his elephant Modoc were closer than two peas in a pod. But when Modoc is sent to the circus Bram goes to rescue. They find them selfs in the middle of a hurricane, and in India but somehow they find each other after every loss. “Modoc” is the story of how a human and an elephant fight to stay together throughout the continents.
I liked this part of the book because the narrator does a very good job of building the suspense. Bram’s connection with Modoc is never lost, even if they are apart. It was very heartwarming to see them reconnect after such a long time and when I thought that there was no hope, the story quickly shifted. When Bram’s wife died while carrying their child I felt so sad for him. You could tell that the narrator wanted you to have deep emotions in that chapter. I disliked the middle of the book because it lost detail and got boring.
Hi Lily,
Does Bram’s child die too? What do you mean by the middle of the book lost detail???
