Alysa Kim- The color black

Black like a burnt marshmallow,
you’d eat on a pitch black,
night out in your backyard.

Or maybe black like the dog next door,
that chases his owner’s metallic black porsche,
with black leather seats and black tinted windows.

Black like the smooth gel pen,
you write with while doing your homework,
on the black kitchen island.

  1. I love the way you made all the details specific enough for me to visualize what you are talking about. My favorite line is the one about the black gel pen.

  2. I like how this poem had good details and descriptions that you could visualize what color you were talking about. Matthew
