Color Poem-Quana Alaimo

Yellow

Her long yellow-blonde hair

flowed down her back

like rivers on mountains

The shiny new yellow rainboots

stand taller

than bunches of sunflowers

The gold shined in the sun

like the stars shine

in the dark night sky

The yolk of the egg

was as hard

as biting into a butterscotch candy

Juice from the pineapple

melted down my face like

the tart lemon juice runs out of the lemon.
