Dear Mrs. Gibson
Becky was supposed to stay with someone that night but instead they went to Widow Douglas’s house. They were going to get ice cream but now they’re gone. Becky’s mother is very upset.
As they go to widow Douglas’s house that night, Huck is outside very late. He couldn’t sleep. All of a sudden, he hears voices. Its 2 men but he asked himself who it could be. They light a pipe and with the fire from the pipe he can see one of the men. He gasps and realizes its Injun Joe. Joe has the treasure box in his hand and they are trying find a place to dig into the ground and hide it! Huck listens as Joe is talking about getting revenge on Widow Douglas. Huck rushed back and tells everything to an old man. Huck is scared for his life.
