Reading Letter #4- Anna T- quarter 4

Dear John
Nicholas Sparks
Anna Turner

I am continuing to read the book, Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. I left off at the part when John left to go back to Germany. When it’s time for his next leave, he of course goes to visit Savannah, but also to visit his father. Things have changed between them. And they both know it. John is mad because Savannah wants them to hangout with her friends but they never really have time to be alone. They go back and forth about this issue until Savannah breaks down and admits she wants to be around other people because when he leaves, her heart is broken. And she has to start adjusting to him being gone. Soon again, John has to go back to Germany and there is another painful goodbye. He is granted an emergency leave when his father had a heart attack. Savannah knows he can’t come to visit her, and she even said if he had come to visit her instead of his father, she would have never forgiven him for it, but it still is hard on their relationship. When John goes back to Germany, September 11, 2001 happened. He felt obligated to re-enlist so he did. This is where I left off. I have a feeling the rest of the book is going to be amazing.
