The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod: 12th Grade Kills
Author: Heather Brewer
Pages: 1-325=325

Vlad is finally finishing high school. His 4 long years at Barthony High brought him from a happy young teen to a deadly, young man. After finding out that his dad may still alive, is it Vlad’s mission to find him. Another mission Vlad is trying to accomplish, staying alive. Which surprisingly, is very, very hard for him.

“It was raining out, but only a little. Just enough to mist Vlad’s face and mask his tears. Believing in silly superstitions like rain on a wedding day bringing good luck, Nelly would’ve been oddly optimistic about rain on the day of her funeral…. Vlad’s eyes dropped on his suit. He was supposed to be wearing to her wedding. Not this.” This is one of he passages that I will remember most. Nelly, Vlad’s Aunt, was a second mom to him. When his parents died, she took care of him, even though his hard, vampire dilemmas. She gave him what he needed most: love, care, and blood. She watched his go from a tiny, little boy to a young man. She was his the day Vlad’s house burned down. With his parents in it. And was gone the day Vlad’s dad killed her, sucking her clean of all her blood. Vlad had to watch her die right in front of his eyes. The women that he loved most, the girl that was days away from her wedding day, the lady that filled his with that warm, fuzzy feeling, left him forever. Vlad was devastated that his dad killed her, so Vlad turned around and did something that he knew he would never regret. He took away the thing his dad took away from Nelly. And didn’t feel the slightest bit of guilt.

  1. That sounds like a creepy book to read! Wait…. Is Vlad a vampire? I didn’t really understand that part. Good reading letter though.
