Chapter VII

The next day, Butch prepared his lab for a second visitor. He readied the anesthesia, and cleaned his tools. Lastly, he retrieved a pair of a raccoon eyes. At 11:00 sharp, his clients walked into his office, one of them being led by  the other. The three entered his office to discuss the upcoming surgery. After discussing the basics, the blind 15 year old inquired the color her eyes would be afterward. His simple answer was, “Deep brown and black.” He led her into the operating room and had her sit down in the chair. He inserted the IV into her arm and left to get the eyes. When she woke up, her hands went to the cloth wrap around her head. Butch immediately cried out, “Don’t touch the wrapping! You must leave it on for a week.” Mrs. Oakley agreed to keep Lauren from removing the cloth. She paid him, and they left his office…
