Warriors Don’t Cry-Eliza

Warriors Don’t Cry

This excerpt doesn’t add to my understanding of what we were watching in Eyes on the Prize.  I knew that the white people were against the African Americans attending the white school. I think that the white peoples’ reaction to integrating Central High School was unacceptable. I do however understand that was just how you acted on a daily basis.

  1. Eliza,

I think that the reading excerpt did have an impact on your understanding of Eyes on the Prize mostly because you were given two different representations of the same event. By reading Melba’s account of the integration of Central High School you are transported to that time in history and are given the opportunity to experience that event through another person’s eyes.
