Reading Letter 7 Q4

Unbelievable

Sara Shepard

P. 1-352 (end)

Spencer plagiarizes her sister’s paper and is nominated to win an award but her family finds out. Hanna’s not dead but is beat up really bad, bruised head to toe, and has several broken bones. She tells them that Mona is “A” and we find out that Mona had Ali’s diary and that’s how she knew so many secrets. Spencer isn’t with them when Hanna tells the rest of the girls what happened, but is in fact in the car with Mona. The rest of the girls warn her, but it’s too late. Mona tries to make a deal with Spencer that she will make her popular if she keeps her mouth shut but Spencer declines and Mona tries to push her off a cliff. They both fall but somehow Spencer fall on grass and Mona keeps falling, breaks her neck, and eventually ends up dying.
The way the author threw in so many twists I would have never guessed it was Mona! The one thing I wish she had done is given a reason why Mona did all the awful things to the girls and a better reason why. But I still don’t think that Mona actually killed her. The way the author throws in so many twists it couldn’t have been her! I wonder if Spencer will get blamed anymore? I also wish the author wouldn’t have had so many people die. I’ve enjoyed the series and will be reading them more and maybe checking out other books by the author.
