Summary:

Darkstalker befriends everyone at jade mountain academy along with giving some of the dragonets powers. A dragonet tries to kill a dragon named Stonemover but fails. Turtle and Quibli make an object that keeps Quibli safe from Darstalker’s spells along with discovering that Darkstalker can sense when and where animus magic is cast.

 

Response:

I liked this section because the entire time Darkstalker uses his powers for good and helps the many students of jade mountain academy instead of harming them as the main characters thought, furthering the amount of confusion about him. The author continuously tries to confuse you on who exactly Darkstalker is. The last three books have centered around Darkstaler as a good dragon that never did anything wrong until the end of the last book where they find out that he is a bad dragon. Once he is released, Darkstalker convinces everyone that he is a good dragon. The entire time the reader is told that Darkstalker is good, then bad, then good again. The author makes the books in a way that you as the reader can never know what exactly is happening until the very end of each five-book series.
