in the dragon’s land of war
underneath the great blue sea
lives a peaceful dragon prince
playing around till he sees
king gill swimming up to him
asking him to help him out

finally, he sees a chance
to be like a hero from
some great story he was told
he just needed to go get
some old dragon to come help
so he sped off to find him

swimming quickly through the halls
as if flying through the sky
taking his best chance to be
a great mystic hero like
he thought he was meant to be
but the prince couldn’t find him

and so he used his magic tool
to find the old dragon, but
the tool lead him to the reef
away from the palace grounds
so he searched and searched the reef
until his wings couldn’t beat

and so he failed his great quest
he failed the king and the queen
with his tool he found his goal
as a corpse on the coral
that day all his dreems shifted
to being ordinary
