Fable

Adrienne Young

Book pages 182-324

Summary: Fable is dreaming about what happened at the lark (her father’s old ship) the night it crashed. She wakes up and starts to help out on the marigold (the ship she escaped on) Fable did not want to owe anything. She gets off the ship for a final goodbye and goes to see her father. Her father sends her away and she gets drunk. A person from the crew of the marigold finds her and brings her back to the ship. Some ships were lit on fire after West was attacked, they left in a hurry and Fable was accepted on the ship. They find the wreck of the lark and get all of its gold and start to sell it off.

Response: This part off the book had so many things going on, her father seems like an okay person but when he rejects her, I started not to like him very much. I’m glad that the marigold let her on their ship as part of the crew. It is cool that the map of the reef where the lark crashed is on her arm as a scar that her father gave her. All of the crew is getting to know Fable better and she is getting to know them better to. They are all growing closer as a family.

Sincerely,

Anna McQueary
