That House

“Terrible things have happened in that house. People have gone missing in that house. People have gotten hurt in that house. People have died in that house. That house could be haunted. That house could be abandoned. There could be someone terrible living it that house. The house in question has been here for as long as anyone can remember, as far as we know it’s been around for centuries. No one can prove that anything bad has actually happened there, but we all know many things have. You can tell bad things have happened there, just from looking at a picture or just from driving by, it is a feeling and a sense all in one. The feeling you get from going inside that house is something different entirely, but no one can really describe it, no one alive anyways. You can tell the house is old just by looking at is crusty dark paint job, its crumbly brick walls, and the huge trees surrounding, almost swallowing the house whole. Few people have survived going into the house, and the ones who have, have been too hurt and or scarred to tell the tale. Some people say they think they have seen things through the windows, little girls, old men, even rapid beasts but no one really knows. Of course, there are many theories about things that have happened there, it is like that with all supposedly haunted houses. Some say that as escaped prisoner or psychiatric patient hides out there. Some say it is inhabited by a cult, or a bunch of animals, it could honestly be anything unless you know otherwise” She read aloud to her friends. “Maybe we shouldn’t be here” another one said. It was a group of 5 teenagers, maybe 17, there were three girls and two boys, none of which were very tall or large. The oldest looking girl was flipping through an old journal, the pages were yellow with age. I have been watching them for only about eight minutes and they were already frightened. “don’t be such a wuss” one of the boys said. They then went decided to go explore the rest of the house. The scared looking girl went with the oldest girl to the kitchen, while the two boys and the other girl went down a long hallway. I follow them down the hallway, they have no idea what is coming. They found the secret about this house. I won’t let them get away with this.

  1. Interesting! Make some paragraph breaks please. So who is reading the first quoted section? Can you give the kids names to set them apart? I’m curious who is watching them.
