Hello Ms. Gibson,

Framed!

James Ponti

Pages 1 to 188

Summary:

In this portion of the book, Florian Bates, the main character, moves to Washington D.C. and makes a new friend, Margaret. They talk about something that Florian Bates has made up called TOAST, which means the Theory of All Small Things. TOAST means analyzing smaller details to create a bigger picture. Florian uses this skill to help the FBI solve a $65 million artwork theft of three paintings. However, he realizes that a fourth painting was stolen, not just three. He also searches for his friend’s birth parents, who dropped her off at Fire Station 4 when she was young.

Response:

I really like how the author writes this series of books; this is the first book of three. They are written in first person and includes some dialog. He writes these books in a very realistic and lifelike way. The author includes lots of detail, including what Florian notices and the conclusions he is able to make. This book includes a table of contents as well as numbered and named chapters. I would highly recommend this book series.

Sincerely,

Matthew Whitworth
