Dear Ms.Gibson

Summary: In this chapter Laurie was talking to Jo and Meg about his grandfather wanting him to sail to India and become a trader. Laurie’s getting hints that Meg likes Mr.Brooke, because Meg was telling Laurie to listen to Mr.Brooke and how Mr.Brook looks satisfied when Laurie does a good job in his studies, and that Mr.Brooke looks sad and unaccomplished when Laurie doesn’t listen. Then Laurie continued to have fun joking about Meg liking Mr.Brooke. This chapter was jut all of them talking, and Meg and Laurie apologizing to each other because Laurie was acting funny, Meg apologized for being very motherly.

Reflection: This chapter for me was a little boring because they were only talking, about simple everyday things. I wish that this chapter had a little more spice. I liked how Laurie is always with the girls and has a good time, but sometimes the chapters feel like I am reading the same thing over and over. This chapter was not as interesting as the other chapters were (for me).

  1. Hey Fatima,
I think this chapter focuses on trying to contrast how the teacher, Mr. Brooke really needs to feel in control of Laurie’s learning. Laurie would much prefer to learn in the presence of the girls!!

  2. Yeah that’s why I thought this chapter is funny, because the March girls entertain them more than anything.
