Ballad

 

Once on an island called Sherri 

There lived two different colonies 

They both were rivals and hated one another 

But two of them were secretly lovers 

 

Their names were Robert and Mary-Jane 

They snuck out every night in the rain 

And met after dark in the shadows in the night 

Their powerful love was warm and bright 

 

However one time they snuck out, 

They were caught by a royal scout 

The king had them thrown in jail 

But their unbreakable love prevailed 

 

They broke their chains and found a canoe 

And set out into the beautiful view 

They both were happy they were free 

And left the island called Sherri
